Job summary

Ty LLandaff Care Home in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our luxury nursing and residential care home caring for 69 residents in a refined, comfortable environment.

You will guide and support a team, ensuring safe, high quality, person-centred care and smooth shift operation, including medication oversight and accurate records, while communicating with families and health professionals. Alternate weekends apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support the team to deliver safe, high quality, person centred care.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift and ensure care is well organised and delivered to a high standard.

Our luxury care home in Portcanna, Cardiff, offers exceptional Nursing and Residential care for 69-residents, providing a refined and comfortable environment where personalized care and elegant living come together

Senior Care Assistant

Contract £13.71 per hour. Contracted to 44 hours per week. Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract).

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centered care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard.

Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

We Are Looking For

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum). Medication administration training with competency is essential. Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial. Strong communication and leadership skills. A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
