Job summary

Prestige Care Group Bedale is seeking a Senior Carer to lead a team and deliver high-quality care at Riverdale Manor in Bedale. This permanent, full-time role offers £13.85 per hour.

You will provide personal care, administer medications, develop care plans, support residents' independence, and communicate with families. NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or working towards is preferred, with day and night shifts available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience in care with leadership qualities.
• Flexible to cover Day and Night Shifts.
• Able to build relationships with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
• Act as a role model and mentor for care staff.
• Support and guide colleagues to develop their skills.
• Provide personal care and emotional support to residents.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Complete care plans, assessments, and maintain accurate records.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for residents.
• Assist with meals, activities, and social outings.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.

The Role:

• Experienced in care withleadership qualities
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or workingtowards)
• Must be flexible to work both Day and Nights Shifts.
• Work well and “get stuck in” with the team
• Demonstrate determination and resilience
• A positive “can do” attitude
• Flexible to cover shifts when required – Our homes operate 7 days per week, 365 days per year
• Can build good, credible relationships with staff, residents and their families
