Job summary

St Hilda's Priory in Whitby is seeking caring individuals to provide holistic care to elderly residents and sisters of The Aelred Wing, a Registered Care Home. The post holder will work under the Care Manager or its deputy, attending to needs with sensitivity to their way of life.

The role involves a mix of day and night shifts with night enhancements, and opportunities to work additional hours as bank shifts.

Qualifications

• Care experience in a care environment is preferred, training will be provided.
• Qualification in health and social care is desirable but not essential.
• There is opportunity to complete qualifications through a local training provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care to the elderly residents and sisters within The Aelred Wing.
• Work under the guidance of the Care Manager or deputy.
• Cover a combination of day and night shifts with night-duty enhancements.
• Assist with daily living activities and maintain sensitivity to residents' life choices.

Salary: £12.80 per hour to £13.59 per hour

Contract type: Permanent

Hours/working pattern:Full Time, 36 hours per week

St Hilda's Priory are looking for caring individuals like YOU to provide holistic care to the elderly residents and sisters of The Aelred Wing, a Registered Care Home, within an Anglican Religious Community. To work under the guidance and supervision of the Care Manager or her designated deputy. To attend to the needs of the elderly or frail residents and sisters within the Aelred Wing and be aware of and act with sensitivity towards their chosen way of life.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Hilda's Priory in Whitby to join their team. The postholder will cover a combination of day and night shifts, with night duty enhancements available for these shifts. There is also the opportunity to work additional hours when available in a bank capacity.

Ideally you will have good understanding and experience of care provision or working in a care environment and hold a qualification in health and social care, although this is not essential as training will be provided. There is opportunity to complete qualifications in health and social care through a local training provider.

You would be joining an already established and hard-working team, who have a reputation for providing a high standard of care.
