A leading care provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Care Assistant who embodies kindness and compassion. You will be responsible for planning and delivering personalized care, leading a team, and ensuring high standards of care in a supportive environment. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on residents' lives while enjoying competitive benefits and opportunities for professional development.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. And, by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you'll be a real influence on the rest of the team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident's family on the phone, you'll do so with a sense of kindness, above anything else. Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
At HC-One, our purpose is to support those in our care to lead their best lives. As the Kind Care Company, it is our mission to provide the kindest support and care to residents living in our care homes, as we strive to be the first-choice care provider for families, colleagues, and commissioners in each of the communities we serve.

Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent, with a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
We promote inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse workforce allows us to learn from each other and better serve the communities we work in.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
Your role involves planning and delivering compassionate, personalized care, supporting residents' independence and dignity, and maintaining high standards of care.
