Job summary

Templeton House Care Home is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support a care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents. You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing and respond to changes to ensure safety and continuity of care.

You will maintain care records, communicate with families and health professionals, and contribute to a supportive, professional environment that values dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.00 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week - flexible hours available - family friendly working hours available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
