Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant. You will guide your team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care for residents, oversee medication, and maintain care records to support timely, clear communication with families and healthcare professionals.

The role requires SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards, and experience leading a care team is beneficial.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is the minimum requirement.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.00 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week - flexible hours available - family friendly working hours available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
