Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust's Cardiac Rhythm Management team in Diagnostic Cardiology invites applications for a Band 6 or 7 physiologist. The post offers opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skills within a dedicated Cardiac Centre in Bury St Edmunds.

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
• Working towards echo BSE/pacing IBHRE/BHRS accreditation.
• Working towards RCCP/HCPC registration.
• ASCST diploma or equivalent (Band 7).
• Possession of BSE Accreditation/IBHRE or HRUK/BHRS Devices (Band 7).
• RCCP or HCPC registration (Band 7).
• Intermediate Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the running of invasive services; be independent in diagnostic angiography, pacemaker, CRTP and ILR implantation and follow up.
• Help train and assess students and junior staff on local and national programmes.
• Line management responsibilities and contribution to service improvement.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
