Job summary

Epsom and St Helier Hospitals is seeking a Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to support the Cardiac Rhythm Service in an NHS bank role. The successful candidate will assist with device implants and follow-ups across Epsom and St Helier sites, including EP service activities bi-weekly.

Applicants should hold a Heart Rhythm Device qualification (IBHRE/EHRA/BHRS) and have experience in ILR, bradycardia, CRT and ICD implants.

Qualifications

• Recognised Heart Rhythm Device qualification such as IBHRE, EHRA or BHRS.
• Experience with ILR follow-up, bradycardia implant and follow-up, CRT and ICD implant and follow-up.
• HCPC registration with statutory professional registration as a Cardiac Physiologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent practitioner level cardiology investigations, diagnoses and treatment.
• Perform non-invasive cardiology duties including ECGs, 24h tapes and exercise tolerance tests.
• Record device implants/follow-ups on Pacenet and Clinical Manager systems.
• Maintain pacing hardware inventory and respond to clinic transfers and queries.
• Present outcomes at weekly MDTs and collaborate with nurses for complex patients.
