Job summary

Royal Free Hospital in London seeks a Band 7 senior cardiac physiologist to work across invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigations with device follow-up and catheter lab support. The role includes an on-call rota for the 24-hour PCI service and inpatient device rota, with a duty to cover non-invasive testing across the department.

Applicants should have a BSc in Clinical Cardiac Physiology or equivalent and at least two years in a Band 7 role with on-call catheter lab experience, plus

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Cardiac Physiology or related degree (or PTP/STP) or equivalent extensive clinical experience
• Minimum 2 years as Band 7 cardiac physiologist in the UK with on-call catheter lab experience
• Independent in CRM investigations and cath lab duties, including on-call duties

Responsibilities

• Work independently across CIU investigations, invasive and non-invasive, with diagnosis, interpretation, reporting and treatment
• Take part in the on-call rota for 24-hour primary PCI service
• Provide technical support during complex invasive procedures in the cath lab
• Carry out pacemaker device follow-up checks and participate in inpatient device rota
• Run remote monitoring clinics for CRMs and ILRs, and participate in ILR/ICD implant and follow-up
• Cover non-invasive testing including 12-lead ECG, ambulatory ECG, BP monitoring and exercise testing
• Carry out right and left heart studies, thrombectomy and EKOS procedures
