Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor with a strong background in carbon management to coordinate delivery of carbon management deliverables across our Transport Sector projects, including major rail initiatives in southern England.

You will lead stakeholder engagement with supply chain partners, champion carbon reduction opportunities, and ensure alignment with BAM’s sustainability strategy while reporting progress to project Environmental leads and Sector

Qualifications

• Background in sustainability, embodied carbon or environmental management in infrastructure or construction projects.
• Understanding of PAS2080 and carbon management principles.
• Experience with LCA and carbon accounting principles.
• Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams including design, construction and client teams.
• Strong project management, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and chair regular carbon meetings to discuss implementation progress.
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of opportunities for carbon reduction.
• Collaborate with the wider supply chain team to identify and implement whole life carbon reduction opportunities.
• Lead development and testing of innovative carbon reduction technologies and methods.
• Compile whole life carbon emissions data and prepare reports for submission.
• Provide analytical support to quantify potential carbon savings as identified.
