We have an opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our team - specialising in major projects across the water sector.This role can be based from either our Brighton, High Wycombe or Reading offices with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home-working.

As a Senior CAD Technician, you will work as part of our well-respected Digital Design team – working alongside highly skilled technicians and engineers to deliver some of the most technically complex and exciting projects across the Watersector. You will be working with a variety of 2D and 3D software – including Civil 3D and Revit – and will offer mentoring and training to more junior colleagues on how to most effectively use CAD software.

You will report into a Regional Discipline Lead who will be on hand to offer technical guidance and to support you in further developing your career. Duties will include:

• Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.
• Collaborating with engineers, consultants and technicians from multiple disciplines.
• Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.
• Working within the Common Data Environments.

About you

You will have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or similar digital delivery role - ideally with experience of working within the water or energy sectors. In addition you will be able to demonstrate that you have:

• experience of working to develop design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design team members
• worked in a Common Data Environments using Data Management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise
• used 3d software such as Civil 3D or Revit
• the ability to organise your workload across multiple projects
• willing to mentor less experienced colleagues when it comes to BIM and any new software developments
