Job summary

CMS Distribution is seeking a senior Warehouse Distribution Manager for the UK Cables operation based in Castleford. You will oversee stock integrity, accuracy and availability across UK warehouses and 3PLs, driving improvements in stock governance and reporting to support sales and service levels.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage reconciliations, cycle counts and KPI reporting, while ensuring health and safety and operational compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong warehouse, stock control and inventory management experience within a UK warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience managing stock accuracy, reconciliation, cycle counting and discrepancy investigation.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP, WMS and Excel for stock analysis and reporting.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to protect revenue and improve service levels.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage integrity of UK Cables stock across warehouse, 3PL and system locations.
• Maintain accurate stock records across SAP, WMS and operational reporting tools.
• Lead stock reconciliation activity, investigate discrepancies and communicate results.
• Develop and maintain cycle count and rolling stock take processes to improve accuracy and audit readiness.
• Monitor stock availability, ageing stock and potential stock loss; escalate risks.
• Provide regular stock reporting and insights to senior stakeholders to support decisions.
