Job summary

CMS Distribution Ltd. is seeking a Senior Warehouse Distribution Manager for the Cables operation in the UK.

You will lead UK Cables stock integrity across warehouses, 3PL and SAP/WMS systems, ensuring accurate stock records, timely movements and robust governance to protect revenue. In this role you will partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Purchasing and Finance to provide stock insights, drive continuous improvement, and deliver reporting that informs commercial and operational decisions

Qualifications

• Strong warehouse, stock control and inventory management experience in UK warehousing or distribution.
• Experience leading warehouse operations, stock accuracy, reconciliation and discrepancy investigation.
• Proficient in SAP, WMS and Excel for stock analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the integrity of UK Cables stock across warehouse, 3PL and system locations.
• Maintain accurate stock records across SAP, WMS and reporting tools.
• Lead stock reconciliation activity and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain cycle count and stock take processes to improve accuracy.
• Monitor stock availability, ageing stock, damaged stock and potential losses, escalate risks.
• Provide stock reporting and insights to senior stakeholders to support decisions.
• Ensure inbound, outbound, returns and internal stock movements are controlled and timely.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to store stock safely and clearly identify items.
• Review stock movement processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Support on-time delivery by aligning resources and system accuracy with demand.
• Act as escalation point for stock issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, Purchasing, Finance and Operations to provide stock insight.
• Prepare and present stock reports and KPIs for stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for UK Cables stock control and governance.
• Promote a culture of accountability, stock accuracy and on-time delivery.
