Job summary

TSL Lighting Ltd in Basingstoke is seeking a Warehouse Department Manager to lead inbound operations, oversee inspection, servicing, testing and processing of returned equipment, and manage a dedicated team handling cables, power distribution, and related accessories.

You will direct stock control, quality checks, and ensure safe loading/unloading, with emphasis on training, workload planning and motivating the team to meet departmental goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a technical team in a warehouse or rental environment.
• Strong knowledge of cabling systems used in live events and power distribution.
• Familiarity with standards for construction, labelling and safe rigging of cable.
• Ability to diagnose faults and oversee maintenance and repair of cable and connectors.
• Experience with safety procedures including PAT testing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management to warehouse staff within the cable department and manage workloads.
• Lead on-the-job training and support external training where appropriate.
• Motivate and support team members to achieve individual and departmental goals.
• Supervise preparation, servicing and maintenance of cable equipment and ensure correct labelling.
• Oversee safe loading/unloading of orders and maintain accurate stock records.
• Manage stock takes and integration of new cable equipment into the department.
