Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions seeks a seasoned Team Leader to oversee the GSI Secondary Design Engineering team. You will act as the technical authority for Control, Protection, and Automation (C&P) systems on HV/EHV substations, including FACTS (STATCOMs, Harmonic Filters, Shunt Reactors).

You will balance technical excellence with SQDB—Safety, Quality, Delivery, Budget—across complex international EPC projects.

Qualifications

15+ years of engineering experience in T&D, Power Gen, or Oil & Gas, with EPC exposure.
Advanced knowledge of AC/DC Transmission or Distribution systems and C&P engineering.
Experience with FACTS/STATCOM is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide final technical sign-off for secondary design packages in accordance with IEEE, IEC, SEEN, and NG standards.
Lead the team through the full project lifecycle and design milestones.
Interface as the main technical bridge between design, PEM, planners, solution lines, and commissioning/manufacturing teams.
Collaborate with Subcontracting Package Managers to deliver high-quality external design work packages.
Mentor team members via Individual Development Plans and manage resources to ensure project delivery.
Drive adherence to the Engineering Management Handbook and implement process improvements.
