Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer - DPCS to lead requirements capture, analysis, baselining and assurance across the life cycle of the Data Processing and Control Systems for a nuclear project.

You will translate stakeholder needs into controlled C&I requirements, manage interfaces, configuration, traceability and verification maturity with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid site setup in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Control/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Experience in regulated industries (Nuclear/Defence/Aerospace/Rail).
• Proven ability to manage requirements throughout lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Elicit stakeholder needs from plant, process, electrical and safety teams.
• Translate needs into structured C&I requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain requirement hierarchies and allocations.
• Own verification methods, baselines, traceability and change control.
• Coordinate interface requirements across control systems and cyber security.
• Support verification, validation and evidence generation.
