Job summary

Gregory Martin International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ skills to design and deliver complex software for defence, energy, transport and health sectors from its Portsmouth base. The role spans modelling, simulation and autonomous systems, with opportunities to lead projects and advise stakeholders.

You will work across client sites in the UK, travel occasionally, and enjoy a competitive package including pension, 25 days holiday and life assurance.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience designing and implementing performant software applications.
Experience applying mathematical principles to solve scientific or applied problems.
Proficient in C/C++ or C# and Python.
Ability to analyse user cases and project data to determine specifications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deliver software solutions using a wide range of techniques (e.g., modelling, simulation, autonomous systems).
Apply mathematical and computational methods to real-world problems and develop novel approaches.
Deliver technical consulting projects and products, with leadership on some initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
