Senior Business Development Manager – Manchester – Base £60k, double OTE – Hybrid

Role Overview

This UK-based technology provider specialises in smart monitoring solutions powered by the Internet of Things (IoT). Their systems help organisations monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, energy usage, humidity, and water safety in real time. These tools are designed to improve efficiency, ensure compliance, reduce energy consumption, and support sustainability goals.

We're looking for an experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives and cultivate high-value partnerships. In this hunter role, you'll identify new opportunities, develop key client relationships, and help shape the commercial strategy that drives long-term revenue and market expansion.

Key Skills

  • Own the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and consultative buying experience.
  • Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline using CRM tools, maintaining accurate forecasting and tracking progress against targets.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to conduct detailed needs assessments, identifying customer pain points and proposing tailored IoT solutions with clear, measurable business value.
  • Respond promptly to marketing-qualified (MQL) and sales-qualified leads (SQL), while also proactively generating new opportunities through self-led outreach.
