Job summary

Edwards & Pearce is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager for the international logistics sector. You will drive new opportunities in air, sea and land freight, sourcing and closing contracts while owning your regional pipeline from prospecting through to close.

You will negotiate terms, maintain accurate forecasts, monitor market activity, and ensure smooth handover of contracts to operations. Remote working is available; a drivers license and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sourcing and closing contracts.
• Existing network in logistics or freight sectors.
• Ability to build end-to-end pipeline and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through Business Development, sourcing and closing contracts.
• Own your region, build a new-business pipeline end-to-end: prospecting, qualification, discovery, capability, negotiation, close.
• Negotiate commercial terms and progress opportunities through to contract award.

• Monitor market activity and identify new sectors and opportunities.
• Ensure a structured handover of new contracts to the operational teams.

We are pleased to be working with an International Logistics company, whom, due to their on-going successes and growth require proven BDM's in the Air, Sea and Land freight sectors.

THE ROLE;

• You will drive new business opportunities through Business Development, sourcing and closing contracts.
• Own your region, build a new-business pipeline end-to-end: prospecting, qualification, discovery, capability, negotiation, close.
• Negotiate commercial terms and progress opportunities through to contract award.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and sales forecasts.
• Monitor market activity and identify new sectors and opportunities.
• Ensure a structured handover of new contracts to the operational teams.

THE CANDIDATE;

• You will be comfortable working on your own.
• You must have an existing network.
• Strong experience across Air / Sea or Land, these sectors are relevant to the regions.
• Driving License.
• Excellent Communications skills.

• Salary: Up-to £60,000 D.O.E plus comms, first year OTE min £100k
