Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) invites applications for a Business Change Manager to lead change initiatives across projects, translating benefits into business-ready outcomes. You will bridge project delivery and users, shaping plans, readiness, communications, and stakeholder engagement across multiple disciplines.

The role requires practitioner-level experience in PPM, strong leadership, and excellent communication to influence diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in business change or project roles at practitioner level
• Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve high performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders
• Ability to persuade and influence senior stakeholders and guide juniors
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue resolution
• Adaptable to change with a proactive approach
• Excellent planning and organisational skills in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency with change, CI and PM tools and techniques

Responsibilities

• Lead business change activity and support delivery of benefits and outcomes
• Prepare and update change management elements of the business case
• Create and ensure fit-for-purpose business change products
• Establish and maintain the change plan for area of responsibility
• Identify and update business readiness criteria and track go-live readiness
• Support benefits identification and leverage across stakeholders
• Develop and maintain change communications plans and content
• Identify stakeholders and manage engagement plans and contacts
• Provide leadership and guidance across the area of responsibility
