Job summary

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) invites applications for a Business Change Manager within the Project Delivery and Portfolio Management team in the United Kingdom. You will lead business change activities for a range of projects, bridging the project and business to realise benefits and ensure adoption.

You will work with analysts, project managers and PMO colleagues, shaping change products, planning activities, and guiding stakeholders through readiness and benefits realisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a business change or project role at practitioner level.
• Proven leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction abilities.
• Ability to persuade and guide junior staff on complex issues.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
• Adaptability and openness to change.
• Strong planning and organisational skills for fast-paced environments.
• Proficient in change, CI and project management tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead business change activity and support delivery of benefits and outcomes.
• Prepare and update change management elements of the business case.
• Create change products and engage with key contacts; ensure products are fit for purpose.
• Establish and maintain the change plan for area of responsibility.
• Identify and update business readiness criteria and track go-live readiness.
• Support Benefits Manager and stakeholders to identify and leverage benefits.
• Create and maintain change communications plans for stakeholders.
• Identify, classify and engage stakeholders as part of an engagement plan.
• Provide direction and guidance to the team and lead change activities across responsibility area.
