Job summary

Mourant Services (Guernsey) Limited is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive transformation across the firm. You will combine strategic business analysis with hands-on project delivery, leading initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through to implementation and adoption.

You will translate governance and operational needs into practical technology solutions while overseeing software implementations, process improvements and automation programmes.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ experience in trust, corporate, governance, fund administration, fiduciary or professional services
• Experience leading business analysis across full project lifecycle from discovery to adoption
• Experience facilitating workshops and documenting requirements (business cases, process maps, user stories, specs)
• Experience with financial/operational systems and reporting processes

• Lead business transformation initiatives from discovery through implementation and post-implementation review
• Collaborate with Governance Services and wider teams to improve systems, reporting, processes and workflow automation
• Facilitate workshops to gather and document requirements and map current/future state processes
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies with clear reporting
• Coordinate UAT planning, execution and stakeholder engagement
• Support adoption through training, change management and post-implementation support
• Monitor outcomes via KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives

About this role

• Lead and deliver business transformation initiatives from discovery and business case development through to implementation, adoption and post-implementation review.
• Work with Governance Services and wider business teams to identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting, operational processes and workflow automation.
• Facilitate workshops to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements, including mapping current and future state processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor and key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers, translating business needs into effective solutions.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, providing clear reporting and escalating critical matters where necessary.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution and stakeholder engagement.
• Support successful adoption of new systems and processes through training, change management and post-implementation support.
• Monitor the success of implemented solutions through KPIs, user feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies, automation trends and AI tools, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

About you

• A minimum of five years' experience within a trust, corporate, governance, fund administration, fiduciary or professional services environment.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting processes and operational systems.
• Proven experience leading business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to testing, implementation and business adoption.
• Experience facilitating workshops, documenting requirements and producing project artefacts including business cases, process maps, user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with financial and operational systems, including reporting, billing, bookkeeping and general ledger processes.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive meaningful change.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and/or hybrid delivery environments.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to balance operational requirements with strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value.
• Degree-level education or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional Business Analysis or Project Management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM, AgilePM or IIBA) would be advantageous.
