Job summary

SSE is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive transformation across our operations as part of a flagship programme. The role involves gathering requirements, mapping processes, and translating needs for agile delivery with cross‑functional teams.

You will mentor a team of Business Analysts, facilitate workshops, and work with Change Managers to enable smooth transitions while ensuring alignment with digital ambitions and customer journeys.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business analysis within an agile delivery environment.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring teams of Business Analysts.
• Expertise in process design, mapping and lean improvement.
• Strong communication and facilitation across senior stakeholders.
• Experience in energy/utilities sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead gathering of business requirements from stakeholders, facilitating workshops and using MoSCoW prioritisation.
• Design future-state business processes, data flows and ways of working aligned with transformation objectives.
• Translate requirements into functional specs for development teams in agile sprints.
• Document current state processes and perform gap analyses to enable smooth transitions.
• Mentor and guide a team of Business Analysts to ensure best practices across the programme.
