Job summary

CNA Hardy is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our Manchester office to bridge business needs and technology delivery. You will shape high-quality change across our insurance systems and processes and work closely with internal and external teams.

The role requires substantial BA experience, strong insurance domain knowledge, and a collaborative approach within Agile environments. We offer a dynamic hybrid working setup and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Substantial business analysis experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Insurance product knowledge and familiarity with rating platforms is advantageous.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum teams and collaboration with QA.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into clear requirements and user stories.
• Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills with basic SQL.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business, IT, testers and vendors; run workshops for stakeholders.
• Assess solutions against value, fit, and risk; identify process improvements.
• Support change through lifecycle: sprint delivery, testing, UAT, training.

WhatYou'llBe Doing

• Requirements and analysis: Translate complex business problems into clear, traceable requirements, userstoriesand specifications for internal and third-party development teams.
• Stakeholder partnership: Act as the bridge between business, IT, testers and vendors,facilitatingworkshops and explaining complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Solution challenge: Assess proposed solutions against business value, strategic fit and risk appetite whileidentifyingprocess and technology improvements.
• Delivery and testing: Support change throughout the lifecycle, including sprint delivery, functional testing, UAT, training,releaseand transition into live support.
• Quality and governance: Champion business analysis standards, manage assigned risks and issues, and keep stakeholders updated on progress and priorities.

WhatWe'reLooking For

• Senior BA experience: Substantial business analysis experience across the full software development lifecycle, with more than eight years desirable.
• Insurance knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products and rating engines; exposure to policy administration or rating platforms such as Subscribe or Rulebook isadvantageous.
• Agile delivery: Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams, creating epics and user stories and collaborating closely with development and QA colleagues.
• Testing capability: Hands-on experience supporting functional testing and UAT, including writing test cases,demonstratingchangesand gathering stakeholder feedback.
• Technical and interpersonal skills: Excellent analytical, facilitation and communication skills, supported by basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
