Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join a Bedfordshire-based property and building consultancy. You will lead a range of refurbishment, alteration and maintenance projects from feasibility through to completion, coordinating contracts, surveys and client updates.

Ideal candidates will be MRICS qualified with strong consultancy experience, excellent client-facing skills and the ability to manage projects independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification required or equivalent.
• Strong consultancy experience in building surveying.
• Proven track record in refurbishment/alteration project management.
• Good knowledge of JCT contract administration.
• Strong technical and specification-writing skills.
• Excellent client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Project management from feasibility to completion.
• Contract administration and procurement/tender analysis.
• Preparation of specifications and tender documentation.
• Site inspections and progress monitoring.
• Contractor management and defect diagnosis.
• Planned maintenance and major refurbishment activities.
• Technical due diligence and building surveys.
• Client reporting and project updates.
• Managing project programmes and budgets.
