Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join a Bedfordshire-based property and building consultancy. You will lead a range of refurbishment, alteration and maintenance projects from feasibility through to completion, coordinating contracts, surveys and client updates.

Ideal candidates will be MRICS qualified with strong consultancy experience, excellent client-facing skills and the ability to manage projects independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification required or equivalent.
• Strong consultancy experience in building surveying.
• Proven track record in refurbishment/alteration project management.
• Good knowledge of JCT contract administration.
• Strong technical and specification-writing skills.
• Excellent client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently.

Job description

Conrad Consulting is working with a leading property and building consultancy seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Bedfordshire team.

The role is predominantly project focused, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of refurbishment, alteration, maintenance and improvement projects.

You will be responsible for delivering projects from initial feasibility through to completion, including:

• Project management
• Contract administration
• Preparation of specifications and tender documentation
• Procurement and tender analysis
• Site inspections and project monitoring
• Contractor management
• Defect diagnosis and remedial works
• Planned maintenance and major refurbishment
• Technical due diligence
• Building surveys and condition reports
• Client reporting and project updates
• Managing project programmes and budgets

You will work closely with clients, contractors and other professional consultants, providing a high level of technical and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.

• MRICS qualified
