Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited)
• MRICS status (preferred)
• Strong building surveying technical knowledge
• Excellent client management and communication skills
• Mentoring and developing junior colleagues
• Good commercial awareness and ability to contribute to bids
• Proficient in MS Word & Excel; AutoCAD/NBS/Revit familiarity

Responsibilities

• Deliver refurbishment, improvement and modernisation projects across multiple sectors.
• Carry out building surveys, inspections and condition assessments.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, feasibility studies, client requirements and technical reports.
• Obtain estimates and support statutory approval processes.
• Administer contracts using JCT and NEC.
• Manage regional projects and provide professional Building Surveying advice to clients.
• Support senior management with day-to-day project and team activities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor and support junior Building Surveyors, including those working toward APC.
• Line manage and develop junior team members.
• Support business development activity, including bids and tenders.
• Maintain high standards across quality, health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Potentially work towards an NEC Supervisor qualification.
