Job summary

Cardiff Construction Consultancy is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join its established team in Cardiff. You will deliver professional and project-based Building Surveying services across healthcare, education, commercial, and public sectors, with exposure to a mix of UK projects.

Ideally MRICS or near Chartered, with solid post-qualification Building Surveying experience, and a proactive approach to client relationships, bids, and mentoring junior surveyors.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified or close to Chartered status.
• Solid post-qualification Building Surveying experience.
• Strong knowledge across professional and project-based surveying.
• Experience with refurbishment/repair projects and JCT/NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional Building Surveying services from feasibility to completion.
• Undertake surveys, inspections and technical assessments.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, estimates and tender docs.
• Manage refurbishment, repair, improvement and modernisation projects.
• Administer contracts using JCT and NEC forms.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Support bids, fee proposals and business development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sectors.
• Mentor junior Building Surveyors and APC candidates.
• Assist senior colleagues with client accounts and project development.
