Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Senior Building Surveyor for its London team. The role involves carrying out surveys, leading projects, and managing client relationships within a collaborative, people-focused culture.

The successful candidate will have MRICS or be progressing toward chartership, plus a Building Surveying degree and broad sector experience. The role offers flexible, hybrid working and a salary up to £65,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership with strong relevant experience
• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
• Strong experience across professional and project-based Building Surveying
• Experience across sectors such as residential, commercial, education or public sector
• Confidence to lead projects and manage client relationships independently
• Strong technical, communication and organisational skills
• Proactive and commercially minded approach
• Interest in developing career and contributing to business growth

Responsibilities

• Carrying out building surveys, condition surveys and technical due diligence
• Leading contract administration and project management instructions
• Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and defect analysis
• Delivering party wall and dilapidations instructions
• Providing trusted technical advice and building long-term client relationships
• Managing projects from inception through to completion
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Contributing to business development and growth of the Building Surveying team
