Job summary

JLL Manchester is recruiting a Surveyor, Associate or Senior Associate to join our Building Consultancy team. You will deliver technical building surveying services and drive business growth across the North West.

Ideally you are MRICS with experience in professional services and project delivery, and you can balance client delivery with proactive development of new opportunities within a leading commercial real estate firm.

Qualifications

• MRICS (Building Surveying) with proven commercial consultancy experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across building pathology/surveys, contract administration, dilapidations and refurbishment delivery.
• Track record in business development and client relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking Building Surveys and Technical Due Diligence reports
• Preparing specifications for, and administering, repair and refurbishment contracts
• Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations / preparing exit strategies
• Development Monitoring across a range of sectors
• Preparing planned preventative maintenance plans
• Undertaking building reinstatement cost assessments
• Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions
• Supporting more junior team members with their instructions and undertaking Quality Assurance checks on reports
• Proactively identifying and winning new client opportunities across the commercial sector
• Building and nurturing a strategic network of contacts
• Converting leads into instructions through compelling proposals, presentations, and relationship development
• Expanding service offerings with existing clients by identifying unmet needs and cross-selling at every opportunity
• Representing JLL at industry events, networking functions, and professional forums across the North West to raise our profile and generate opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across service lines to create integrated client solutions
• Tracking and reporting on business development activities and pipeline activity
• Contributing to fee proposals, bid responses, and pitch presentations for new and existing clients
