The Role
- Lead dilapidations instructions across landlord and tenant mandates
- Deliver technical due diligence surveys and acquisition reports
- Manage refurbishment and fit-out commissions through full project lifecycles
- Act as Employer’s Agent and Project Manager on commercial instructions
- Prepare feasibility studies, specifications, and reinstatement cost assessments
- Maintain technical quality across surveying outputs
- Manage client relationships across investor, occupier, landlord, and developer accounts
- Take responsibility for fee performance, commercial delivery, and programme control
- Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams across building consultancy disciplines
- Support regional client development activity and service line expansion
- Mentor APC candidates and supervise junior surveyors
- Provide technical guidance on compliance, legislation, and best practice standards
About the Consultancy
This is a multidisciplinary property consultancy providing building surveying, project management, cost consultancy, M&E, and fire engineering services across the commercial property sector. Clients include investors, occupiers, landlords, and developers. The Birmingham team forms part of a wider regional expansion strategy, creating a requirement for senior-level delivery and client leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
- MRICS qualification essential
- Consultancy background within commercial building surveying
- Strong dilapidations instruction experience
- Technical due diligence exposure
- Contract administration and project delivery capability
- Employer’s Agent and/or Project Management experience
- Working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Commercial understanding of fee-led consultancy delivery
- Experience managing client relationships directly
- Previous mentoring or supervisory exposure
- Full UK driving licence
