Job summary

Build Recruitment are working with a well-established property and construction consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their St Austell team in Cornwall. You will manage a varied portfolio across Cornwall, leading projects from inception through to completion, including surveys, defect investigations and contract administration.

MRICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor.
• Strong experience across professional surveying and project delivery.
• Experience with contract administration and/or Employer's Agent duties.
• Excellent technical knowledge of building pathology, defects and construction.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and take ownership of projects.
• A relevant Building Surveying degree or equivalent qualification.
• MRICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.

Build Recruitment are currently working with a well-established property and construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their St Austell team.

This is a key opportunity for an ambitious Building Surveyor who is looking for increased responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to help develop a local Building Surveying function.

Working alongside a Director, you will manage a varied portfolio of projects and professional instructions across Cornwall, covering everything from historic buildings and defect diagnosis through to commercial projects and contract administration.

The Role

You will be responsible for a diverse range of building surveying and project-based work, including:
