Renfrewshire Council is seeking a fully experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our dynamic Support Services team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the council's capital investment programmes and be central to the Hard Facilities Management Service.
The successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing reactive and planned maintenance building contracts and provide expertise across various properties (non-housing).
Reporting to the Lead Facilities Manager, you will manage multiple projects, engage with stakeholders, and offer professional advice on building surveying and the built environment.
The role contributes to strategic objectives, including investment in learning estates. Candidates should have experience in building surveying within education, leisure, or commercial properties, excellent communication skills, and a positive influence on FM services.
Essential qualifications include a Degree or relevant qualification in Building Surveying or Construction, with post-qualifying experience. Experience in non-housing property surveys, managing maintenance contracts, and delivering small projects is required. Proficiency in IT packages like AutoCAD, knowledge of health and safety legislation, facilities management, and CDM regulations are essential. A full driving license and own transport are also required.
