Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL) in Tidworth is seeking a Senior Building Services Engineer to provide technical leadership across building services disciplines on the estate. The role demands the senior technical authority for complex engineering issues and operational risk management.

You will lead root cause investigations, develop lifecycle replacement plans and support major incidents to ensure continuity of critical services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline; Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Experience in design, operation and maintenance of water systems (hot/cold), HVAC, heat pumps, BMS and control systems.
• Ability to write technical reports and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across building services engineering disciplines on the estate.
• Act as senior technical authority for complex engineering issues, asset failures and risks.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement solutions to improve reliability and reduce risk.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends

Your Role

• You will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across building services engineering disciplines throughout the estate.
• You will act as the senior technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering issues, critical asset failures and operational risks.
• You will lead root cause investigations, identify recurring defects and implement engineering solutions that improve reliability and reduce risk.
• You will evaluate asset performance and develop lifecycle replacement plans that support long term operational resilience.
• You will support major incidents, service disruptions and business continuity events while helping restore critical services.
• You will coach, mentor and develop technical capability across teams while building strong stakeholder relationships.

What We're Looking For

• Qualifications: You will be degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and be a Chartered Engineer, or working towards chartership, through an appropriate professional institution.
• Experience: You will have experience in the design, operation and maintenance of hot and cold water systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, heat pumps, building management systems and control systems, alongside experience writing technical reports and managing subcontractors.
• Skills: You will be analytical, able to communicate effectively at all organisational levels and capable of building strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
