Job summary

SOCOTEC UK Building and Real Estate division is seeking a proactive Building Inspector (RBI) for Colchester. You will inspect sites, advise on regulatory requirements, and work with architects, builders and developers to ensure safe, compliant buildings.

Qualifications

• Membership of RICS, CABE or equivalent, with RBI registration at an appropriate level.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Self-starting problem-solver with up-to-date building regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Supervise RBIs and graduates, and enforce regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports and consultancy documentation with traceability.
