Job summary

Sweco Building Control in the UK is looking for motivated Class 2 and 3 Building Inspectors to join our team. You will manage a broad range of projects, undertake plan checks for Building Regulation approval, carry out site visits, witness tests, and attend client meetings to provide professional building control advice.

Applicants should have RBI registration or equivalent accreditation (RICS, CABE, CIOB or similar) and a proactive approach to client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience with Building Regulations approvals and plan checking.
• Site visits, witnessing tests, and reporting.
• Strong client-facing and advisory skills in building control.
• Accreditation and RBI registration or equivalent.
• Proactive approach to building control services and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
• Undertaking site visits and preparing site visit reports; witnessing tests.
• Attending client and design team meetings to provide professional building control advice.
• Familiar with quality management systems and project controls.
• Working in line with project costs and programme requirements.
