Job summary

Sweco Building Control in the UK is looking for motivated Class 2 and 3 Building Inspectors to join our team. You will manage a broad range of projects, undertake plan checks for Building Regulation approval, carry out site visits, witness tests, and attend client meetings to provide professional building control advice.

Applicants should have RBI registration or equivalent accreditation (RICS, CABE, CIOB or similar) and a proactive approach to client relationships.

Sweco Building Control are the leading Building Control consultancy in England and Wales, providing market-leading expertise as a Registered Building Control Approver since 1998. We are currently looking for motivated Class 2 and 3 Building Inspectors to join our team. We operate a hybrid model which for us means typically 3 days in the office or on site and 2 days at home (depending on the need for site visits/clients meetings).

What does the role involve?

You’ll Manage a Broad And Interesting Range Of Projects Where You Will Be a Member Of a Highly Motivated Team And Have Responsibility For

• Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
• Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports, witnessing tests (therefore a full, valid driving licence is essential).
• Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.
• Be familiar with and use the management systems, including complying with the Quality Management system.
• Operating in accordance with the commercial requirements of the projects (costs and programme).
