Job summary

Ashford Borough Council is seeking an experienced Building Control leader to join the senior management team within the Planning and Development Service. As the lead Building Control Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled while driving innovation, growth and continuous improvement.

You will manage a team of inspectors, oversee budgets and fees, and drive digital transformation to deliver a commercially successful Building

Qualifications

• Experience as a registered building inspector with Class 2A accreditation.
• Strong leadership of a specialist inspection team.
• Proven ability to develop business plans, oversee budgets and fees.
