Job summary
Runnymede Borough Council is looking for a committed Registered Building Inspector to join our Building Control team. You will protect health, safety, sustainability, energy conservation and accessibility across the borough by inspecting plans, carrying out site visits, maintaining records and enforcing Building Regulations.
The role combines office, home and site work within a supportive team and requires strong technical knowledge, professional judgement, and excellent communication with
Qualifications
- Significant experience in Building Control and Building Regulations.
- Registration with the Building Safety Regulator at an appropriate level or eligibility.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations practically.
Responsibilities
- Examine plans and carry out site inspections to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and attend dangerous structure call outs during working hours.
- Provide specialist technical advice to residents, contractors, and architects.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant development.
