Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead our broiler teams across Central and Southern England. You will oversee production across ~150 farms, ensure birds meet budgeted numbers, and uphold cost, quality and welfare standards.

This role requires managing contract growers, leading a team of Contract Production Managers and driving sustainable growth in line with company goals. You will champion welfare, safety and food safety, while mentoring your team and delivering operational

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in poultry/broiler production or similar multi-site operation.
• Strong people leadership across dispersed teams.
• Proven ability to manage contract growers and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead broiler production across Central and Southern England farms.
• Deliver budgeted volumes with cost, quality and welfare targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with contract growers and partners.
• Coach and develop Contract Production Managers for performance improvements.
• Ensure high standards of bird welfare, safety and food safety.
• Contribute to growth plans while maintaining efficiency and standards.
