Responsibilities

• Managing the full lending process from application to drawdown.

• Maintaining accurate CRM records and producing reports.
• Review valuation reports and due diligence documentation.
• Draft offer documents and ensure conditions are met pre-completion.
• Liaise with brokers, solicitors, valuers, surveyors, other lenders and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and produce reports as required.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and manage expectations.

We have partnered with a specialist lender in their search for a Senior Bridging Underwriter. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing underwriting team where you’ll take ownership of cases from initial application through to completion, playing a key role in delivering fast and commercial lending decisions.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Underwriter, you’ll be working on high value and complex cases whilst also taking a lead role in guiding the team and working closely with senior management and business development on wider business strategy and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full lending process from application to drawdown
• Managing introductions from a variety of channels
• Assessing bridging loan applications and analysing creditworthiness of complex cases with values from £20m
• Preparing detailed credit proposals for Credit Committee
• Reviewing valuation reports and due diligence documentation
• Drafting offer documents and ensuring conditions are satisfied pre-completion
• Liaising with brokers, solicitors, valuers, surveyors, other lenders and internal teams to progress cases
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and producing reports when required
• Managing expectations professionally and providing updates to all stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement across underwriting processes and playing a key role in process improvement initiatives
