Bridging Underwriter

We are looking for an experienced Bridging Underwriter to manage allocated cases from start to finish. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong underwriting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the lending process from application to drawdown, ensuring compliance with underwriting and due diligence procedures
• Prioritise and manage a pipeline of bridging cases efficiently
• Ensure all applications meet lending criteria
• Liaise with internal teams and external parties throughout the lending process
• Instruct solicitors once offers are made and provide necessary documentation
• Follow Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines and responsible lending principles
• Demonstrate deep underwriting knowledge and support the wider team when needed

Skills and Experience

• Previous underwriting experience in bridging and/or development finance
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation
• CeMAP qualification desirable but not essential
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
