Carrington West is seeking a Senior Engineer - Bridges to take a leading role in delivery of structural works and maintenance schemes. You will manage day‑to‑day bridge and structure portfolios, setting technical direction and guiding teams across inspections, design, and delivery.

You will bring significant bridges experience, strong programme management, and a proactive stance on risk and safety. The role offers UK-wide opportunities and long‑term career progression.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in bridges and highway structures.
• Strong project and programme management capability.
• Knowledge of contract administration and delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and delivery of new structural works and upgrade projects.
• Managing general and principal inspection programmes for bridges and structures.
• Developing maintenance solutions and long-term asset strategies.
• Overseeing structural surveys, contract documentation, and works supervision.
• Managing structural asset databases and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Supporting procurement and contract management, including claims and variations.
• Providing technical leadership on abnormal load routing and structural safety.
• Mentoring and supporting engineers within the structures team.
• Contributing to budgets, programme planning, and service performance targets.
