Job summary

Kier Group in Salford is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the Penrith Design Solutions Structures team based in Salford. You will produce and oversee bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions while mentoring the team.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or working towards it, 6+ years in highways, and a track record delivering projects to programme and budget, with strong collaboration across clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is preferred.
• 6+ years post-graduate experience in highways and bridge work.
• Proven bridge design, assessment and maintenance experience.
• Ability to manage projects to programme and budget.
• Strong collaboration across teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Producing and overseeing bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions that meet client requirements within budget and timescale
• Developing designs in accordance with National design standards and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
• Preparing scheme documents, reports and ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems
• Ensuring all designs comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations
• Mentoring and supporting the development of team members to grow their capabilities
