Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Specialist Doctor to join the Breast Surgery team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post provides senior clinical care across the breast pathway, with autonomous practice and MDT collaboration.

You will contribute to outpatient assessment, elective operating, peri-operative care and service development, delivering high-quality cancer care within the Surgical Elective Centre framework and across OUH

Qualifications

• Possession of MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Minimum 12 years medical work since primary qualification.
• Minimum 6 years experience in breast surgery or equivalent.
• Membership of Royal College or MRCS/FRCS; Specialist Register in relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Undertake outpatient breast clinics and follow-up.
• Support elective breast surgery and peri-operative care.
• Contribute to timely cancer diagnosis and treatment pathways.
• Participate in MDT meetings with multidisciplinary team.
• Provide senior clinical assessment and autonomous decisions.
• Support weekend operating and cross-cover for theatre capacity.
• Contribute to governance, audit, teaching and service development.
