Job summary

BLOND in London is seeking a senior graphic and brand designer to lead the brand discipline across live client projects and BLOND’s own identity. You’ll take strategic vision through to visual systems, packaging and art direction.

This permanent, full-time role is based in our London studio. You’ll collaborate with our creative director and senior designers to build and head up the branding department as BLOND grows.

Qualifications

• BA or MA degree in graphic design, visual communication or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of brand design experience in a top-tier design consultancy, brand agency or independent studio.
• Outstanding portfolio showing conceptually led brand systems across print and digital.
• Deep understanding of typography, grids, editorial design and layout.
• Strong knowledge of packaging design, print processes and finishes.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strategic thinker who connects design choices to client objectives.
• Ambition to build and lead a branding department from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete brand systems from strategic concept to final production.
• Design visual identities, typographic systems, brand guidelines, packaging and art direction.
• Collaborate with industrial designers and engineers to bridge objects and brand communication.
• Act as primary brand custodian for BLOND's identity and communications.
• Evolve internal identity, website, social content and studio publications.
• Present brand narratives and concepts to clients with clarity.
• Oversee packaging artwork and finish specifications.
• Lay foundations for a dedicated branding department; mentor junior staff.
