Job summary

The Emerald Group in London is seeking a qualified actuary to join the Bulk Annuity Pricing team on a permanent basis. You will prepare quotations and pricing recommendations for bulk annuity buy-ins and buy-outs, and collaborate with the investment front office to select assets.

You will work with reinsurance actuaries to embed reinsurance in quotations, review legal agreements, and contribute to contract negotiations with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pensions.
• Experience with bulk annuity market and products.
• Familiarity with capital modelling and profit testing.
• Ability to review legal agreements and contribute to contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quotations and pricing recommendations for bulk annuity buy-ins and buy-outs.
• Liaise with investment front office to identify assets to support bulk annuity transactions.
• Collaborate with reinsurance actuaries to incorporate reinsurance in quotations.
• Review legal agreements and contribute to external contract negotiations.
