Job summary

The Solution Automotive Limited in Manchester is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Estimator to join our automotive team. You will assess damage, prepare cost-effective repair estimates and guide the customer journey from assessment to repair completion.

You will liaise with insurers, explain repair requirements and keep timelines clear, while coordinating with technicians to ensure accurate information and smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Proven Bodyshop experience as an Estimator, Bodyshop Manager, Technician or Quality Controller.
• IMI VDA qualification preferred, or equivalent estimating experience.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
• Proactive, organized and solution-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting vehicles, assessing damage and preparing accurate, cost-effective repair estimates.
• Liaising with insurers to agree repair costs, obtain authorisations and keep all parties updated on timelines.
• Communicating with customers, explaining repair requirements, costs and expected completion dates.
• Managing repair progress to ensure work is authorised, scheduled and completed efficiently.
• Working closely with technicians and the Bodyshop team to ensure accurate information and smooth workflow.
• Maintaining records, estimates, photographs and supporting documentation in line with insurer and company standards.
• Helping to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.
