The Solution Automotive Limited in Manchester is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Estimator to join our automotive team. You will assess damage, prepare cost-effective repair estimates and guide the customer journey from assessment to repair completion.
You will liaise with insurers, explain repair requirements and keep timelines clear, while coordinating with technicians to ensure accurate information and smooth workflow.
We're currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Estimator / Advisor to join a professional and established automotive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bodyshop knowledge who can confidently manage the estimating and customer journey from initial vehicle assessment through to repair completion.
Inspecting vehicles thoroughly, assessing damage and preparing accurate, cost-effective repair estimates.
Liaising with insurers to agree repair costs, obtain authorisations and keep all parties updated on timelines.
Communicating directly with customers, explaining repair requirements, costs and expected completion dates in a clear and professional manner.
Managing repair progress to ensure work is authorised, scheduled and completed efficiently.
Working closely with technicians and the wider Bodyshop team to ensure accurate information and a smooth workflow.
Maintaining accurate records, estimates, photographs and supporting documentation in line with insurer and company standards.
Helping to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.
Proven Bodyshop experience as an Estimator, Bodyshop Manager, Technician or Quality Controller.
IMI VDA qualification preferred, although equivalent estimating experience will be considered.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.

A full UK driving licence, essential for vehicle movement and assessment.
Salary: £40,500 Basic, £43,500 OTE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Saturdays: Alternate Saturdays, 8:30am to 12:30pm
