Job summary

Prestige Franchised Dealership Bodyshop in Manchester is recruiting an experienced Bodyshop Estimator/Advisor to join a professional automotive team. You will manage the estimating process and customer journey from initial assessment through to repair completion.

Key duties include inspecting vehicles, liaising with insurers, explaining costs to customers, and coordinating with technicians to maintain high-quality repairs and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven Bodyshop experience as an Estimator, Bodyshop Manager, Technician or Quality Controller.
• Strong communication skills to explain repair requirements to customers and insurers.
• IMI VDA qualification preferred, otherwise equivalent estimating experience will be considered.
• A full UK driving licence is required for vehicle movement and assessment.

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Estimator / Advisor to join a professional and established automotive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bodyshop knowledge who can confidently manage the estimating and customer journey from initial vehicle assessment through to repair completion.

What You'll Be Doing

Inspecting vehicles thoroughly, assessing damage and preparing accurate, cost-effective repair estimates.

Liaising with insurers to agree repair costs, obtain authorisations and keep all parties updated on timelines.

Communicating directly with customers, explaining repair requirements, costs and expected completion dates in a clear and professional manner.

Managing repair progress to ensure work is authorised, scheduled and completed efficiently.

Working closely with technicians and the wider Bodyshop team to ensure accurate information and a smooth workflow.

Maintaining accurate records, estimates, photographs and supporting documentation in line with insurer and company standards.

Helping to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who understands the Bodyshop environment and can combine strong technical knowledge with excellent customer and insurer communication.

You’ll ideally have:

Proven Bodyshop experience as an Estimator, Bodyshop Manager, Technician or Quality Controller.

IMI VDA qualification preferred, although equivalent estimating experience will be considered.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.

A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach.

A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and an excellent customer experience.

A full UK driving licence, essential for vehicle movement and assessment.

The Package:

Salary: £40,500 Basic, £43,500 OTE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Saturdays: Alternate Saturdays, 8:30am to 12:30pm
